The Bay County Academy (BCA) provides students with the opportunity to unlock their future through college preparation honors courses, college-level advanced placement (AP) courses, and dual enrollment (DE) courses. These courses offer students the chance to explore and prepare for their future through agricultural biotechnology programs, veterinary assistant academies, ROTC, music and digital design. The Deane Bozeman School is dedicated to offering and expanding its advanced placement and dual enrollment courses to meet the needs of its ever-growing student population. Students who are highly motivated and want to live a rigorous high school experience while preparing for their future are encouraged to apply. The University School is sponsored by the Florida State University College of Education and works in collaboration with the university.
This partnership allows students to gain access to a wide range of resources that can help them reach their academic goals. Advanced Placement (AP) courses provide students with the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. These courses are designed to challenge students academically and help them develop the skills they need to succeed in college. AP classes also give students a competitive edge when applying for college admissions. Honors courses are designed for students who want to take their education to the next level. These classes are more rigorous than regular classes and require more independent work.
Honors classes can help students develop critical thinking skills, improve their writing abilities, and gain a better understanding of complex topics. Dual enrollment (DE) courses allow high school students to take college-level classes at a local college or university. These classes can help students get a head start on their college education and save money on tuition costs. DE courses also give students the chance to explore different fields of study before committing to a major. The Bay County Academy offers a variety of advanced placement and honors courses that can help students prepare for their future. Students who are interested in taking advantage of these opportunities should contact the school for more information.
