The 2013-2014 Florida Green School Awards Program application is NOW OPEN! We encourage all Florida K-12 students, faculty, schools (public or private), and district administrators to participate in this statewide award program. The data and information submitted on this application should reflect achievements from the 2013-2014 school year.
The nomination deadline is:
- June 20, 2014 for Projects (i.e., small, typically single topic initiatives led by students, teachers, or classes)
- June 20, 2014 for Schools
- July 25, 2014 for School districts

On April 3rd, the Florida Green School Network Team was awarded a 2014 Prudential Productivity Award. The 26th annual awards honor 432 individuals and teams of state employees for creating and implementing innovative solutions and productivity improvements worth $558 million in cost savings, cost avoidances, and increased revenue for state government. Action for Healthy Kids has released its School Grants for Healthy Kids opportunities for the 2014-2015 school year. Around 1,000 schools will be awarded funds ranging from $500 to $5,000 to support school breakfast and physical activity programs. Funded schools will also receive expertise and people power to help implement a successful project that leads to sustainable change. The deadline to apply is May 2nd.
