Join the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Office of Environmental Education for an Earth Day at the Capitol event on April 19, 2013, from 9 am to 2 pm at the Florida state Capitol, Tallahassee. Earth Day attendees include a mixed audience of elementary, middle and high  school students and community members. More than 1,000 elementary students  attended previous Earth Day events. Attention all K-12 schools in Florida you are invited to enter this year’s Global Green USA: Green School Makeover Competition. Enter your  school for a chance to win $75,000 to retrofit your school plus approximately $65,000 of in-kind technical assistance.
