We are pleased to announce we are in the process of reproducing the new version of the Florida Green School Guide to be distributed to all 7^th Graders in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. In collaboration with Dream in Green and Miami-Dade Public Schools, the Guide will be ready for distribution in early April. The document will feature local green school case studies, resources and include a companion online teacher’s guide.

The U.S. Department of Education recently announced a new initiative: Green Ribbon Schools (GRS). Modeled after the Blue Ribbon Schools Program, the Green Ribbon Schools award will recognize exemplary achievement in environmental impact, health, and environmental education. (read more)

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Office of Environmental Education (OEE) announced, last November, the five state winners of the 2010- 2011 Florida Green School Awards.
